Rébecca Jesugnon Azongbe is a passionate woman entrepreneur and agricultural innovator with more 10 ten years of professional experience in agricultural innovation and environmental sustainability. She holds a Professional Bachelor’s degree in Plant and Seed Production Management and a Diploma in Tropical Agricultural Studies with Honours, completed in 2016. Her journey reflects her lifelong commitment to empowering women, advancing sustainable farming, and driving inclusive growth in rural communities.

As Co-Founder and Production Manager at BIO PLANET TMC Ltd, Rébecca plays a central role in leading the company’s production of pest-control granulated organic fertilizer made from biodegradable waste. She oversees the entire production process, from composting to granulation and quality control, ensuring that BIO PLANET TMC maintains high environmental and agronomic standards. Through her technical expertise and leadership, she has helped the venture’s production capacity and strengthen its operational efficiency, directly supporting thousands of smallholder farmers in Benin.

Rébecca’s leadership extends beyond production management. She is deeply committed to empowering rural women and indigenous farmers, promoting gender equality and economic inclusion as essential drivers of agricultural transformation. Her strong field experience and community-based approach have been instrumental in ensuring that BIO PLANET TMC’s innovations not only restore degraded lands but also create livelihood opportunities for vulnerable populations.

In recognition of her outstanding leadership and impact, Rébecca was selected for the ImpactHER Initiative, an international program that supports African women entrepreneurs in scaling their businesses and accessing new markets. This distinction highlights her growing influence as a leading female voice in sustainable agribusiness and represents a major advantage for BIO PLANET TMC Ltd, strengthening the company’s gender-inclusive approach and investor appeal in the green economy sector.

Rébecca has completed several professional internships that have enhanced her technical and managerial expertise, including training in composting and organic fertilizer production at the National University of Agriculture in Benin, where she graduated, and a specialized internship on the installation and management of perennial plants at the Agricultural Research Centre on Perennial Plants of Pobè in 2021.
