How we measure impact

Every hectare, every farmer, every outcome is measured through science and human stories.

At BIO PLANET TMC Ltd, impact is not an afterthought. It is the foundation of our business model. Every activity, from waste collection to fertilizer production and distribution, is carefully monitored, quantified, and validated through a transparent system that connects environmental, social, and economic performance.

We apply a data-driven field monitoring approach that combines community reporting, on-site verification, and digital tools to collect real-time information on key indicators such as waste processed, soil restored, farmers reached, and emissions avoided. Our field team works directly with local cooperatives, agricultural extension agents, and municipal partners to ensure that every ton of waste recycled and every hectare of farmland regenerated is properly documented.

Each intervention site is geo-referenced and periodically monitored to assess changes in soil health, crop yields, and biodiversity. This scientific data is complemented by farmer surveys that capture household income growth, job creation, and social inclusion outcomes, especially among women, youth, refugees, and people with disabilities.

Our environmental performance, including carbon dioxide avoided and carbon captured in the soil, is estimated using internationally recognized methodologies, such as those recommended by the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change and the Food and Agriculture Organization. This ensures that our results meet global sustainability and climate reporting standards, offering measurable and verifiable outcomes for partners and investors.

We maintain a Community Impact Dashboard, updated every year, where aggregated data on agriculture, environment, green jobs, training, and public health are reviewed and validated. This process is overseen by our internal sustainability team, with support from independent technical partners to strengthen credibility and transparency.

By combining scientific metrics with human stories, BIO PLANET TMC captures both the quantitative and qualitative dimensions of its work, from the tons of carbon dioxide avoided to the thousands of families empowered through sustainable farming. Our goal is not only to measure change but to demonstrate regeneration, proving that circular innovation can drive inclusive growth, restore ecosystems, and build lasting prosperity across Benin and West Africa.
