Gruffine Afiwa Lydia Sognon is a bilingual professional specializing in the management of international educational programs, with over ten years of hands-on experience in leading and coordinating international academic initiatives. Deeply committed to equal opportunity and youth education, she places gender equality, inclusion, and youth protection at the core of institutional strategies. She has strong expertise in team coordination, partnership management, and psychosocial support, gained across diverse international academic environments. She currently leads the Division of Interuniversity Cooperation and External Relations, where she has overseen the negotiation and implementation of more than 200 international agreements.

Her solid academic background includes a master’s degree in international Economic Law, as well as qualifications in Diplomacy and International Relations and in English Linguistics. Her international perspective is further strengthened by several Erasmus+ certifications obtained in Turkey, Greece, Finland, and Spain.

A committed community leader, she serves as President of the Sapphire Toastmasters Club since July 2025, reflecting her dedication to excellence in communication and leadership.
