Technology & innovation for regenerative agriculture
From IoT-connected composting to digital soil diagnostics, BIO PLANET TMC puts data to work for regenerative agriculture in Benin and across West Africa.
At BIO PLANET TMC Ltd, technology is never an end in itself: it serves agronomic precision. Our digital tools help us monitor, measure and adjust every stage – from organic waste processing to the recommendation delivered in the field. That is what keeps our NUTRISOIL AFRICA™ organic fertilizers consistent and our support to farmers relevant.
IoT-based smart composting
Real-time data for smarter composting
We integrate IoT-enabled sensors into our composting system to monitor key parameters throughout the composting cycle, including temperature, moisture, pH, oxygen levels, and other critical process conditions. Continuous data monitoring helps us better understand biological activity, detect changes early, and make timely adjustments to optimize decomposition and maturation.
This enables greater process control, improved efficiency, traceability, and more consistent quality in the production of our regenerative organic fertilizers.
Temperature
Thermal monitoring throughout the decomposition cycle.
Moisture
Moisture balance of the mix, monitored continuously.
pH
Substrate acidity, an indicator of decomposition progress.
Oxygen
Monitors aeration and microbial activity.
What continuous monitoring brings us
Better process control
Greater efficiency
Stronger traceability
More consistent quality
Digital soil diagnostics
Data-driven insights for locally adapted, scalable agricultural solutions
We use digital soil sensors and diagnostic tools to assess key soil parameters, including Nitrogen, Phosphorus, Potassium and pH, complemented by electrical conductivity, moisture, temperature and other relevant indicators. These field-level insights help us understand soil fertility conditions, identify specific crop needs and provide more precise, tailored agronomic recommendations.
Nitrogen
Drives vegetative growth.
Phosphorus
Root development and fruit set.
Potassium
Plant resilience and harvest quality.
Soil acidity
Determines nutrient availability.
Scalable by Design, Tailored to Local Conditions
This data-driven approach enables us to operate across diverse agricultural environments by adapting our recommendations to local soil and crop conditions rather than relying on a one-size-fits-all model. As we expand into new farming areas and markets, digital soil diagnostics help us maintain the relevance, consistency and quality of our solutions, creating a stronger foundation for scalable regenerative agriculture across different agroecological contexts.
