Christian Adoh is a passionate social entrepreneur and environmental advocate with over 5 years' professional experience in agribusiness. Holder of Tropical Agricultural Studies Diploma with honours & Senior Technician in Agricultural Engineering, he is the CEO and Co-Founder of BIO PLANET TMC Ltd, where he leads initiatives that produce pest control granulated organic fertilizer from recycled biodegradable waste, empowering over 18,000 women and indigenous small-scale farmers across Pobe, Benin, for degraded farmlands restoration and increased crop healthier yields to tackle food insecurity and alleviate poverty in rural communities.
Christian has been recognized as winner of the Innovative Project Prize, awarded by the West African Economic and Monetary Union's Banking Fair (SBPME - UEMOA, 2023) with BIO PLANET TMC Ltd, and has completed the 2023 Global AgriFood TechPreneur Programme, making it to the Top 10 selected entrepreneurs. As an Alumnus Fellow at prestigious organizations, including The Mastercard Foundation, The Resolution Project, LEAP Africa, Millenium Campus Network, The Aspire Institute, and The Young African Leaders Initiative, Christian demonstrates transformational leadership in social innovation. He has actively engaged in mentoring over 500 young entrepreneurs through various programmes, including the Jim Leech Mastercard Foundation Fellowship on Entrepreneurship. He is a member of the African Food Changemakers and has completed the 2024 Youth Ecopreneur Programme powered by the International Trade Centre and G20 Global Land Initiative where he has been recognized for his contributions to sustainable agriculture and social inclusion.
Christian participated in the EmpowerED Programme (Innovation in Entrepreneurship and Education), Bangladesh 2023, where he has been recognized as speaker, and Youth Delegate both in The World Bank Group Youth Summit, Washington D.C. from May 25-26, 2023, and in the Youth Entrepreneurship Summit in Nairobi, Kenya, from November 27-01 December, 2023. With an endless desire to build a socially responsible career mainly driven by a deep commitment to social justice and the positive impact he can make on rural farming communities in Benin and Africa, Christian has been certified Social Innovator by LEAP Africa, being among the top 10 African Social Innovators in the 2024 Social Innovators Programme, and has received a full sponsorship opportunity to speak at the 2024 West Africa Deal Summit, in Lagos, Nigeria, where he discussed potential partnerships with investors interested in amplifying social impact by empowering local farmers and promoting a sustainable farming system.
Christian served as Campus Director at the University of Abomey-Calavi in Benin in the 2022 Millennium Fellowship Programme powered by Millennium Campus Network & United Nations Academic Impact, where he led project development workshops, various presentations, supporting 22 Millennium Fellows, and empowered over 100 community members. Further, he was recognized as a Monitoring Committee Member of Sahel Women's Empowerment and Demographic Dividend (SWEDD) Project at University of Abomey-Calavi in Benin, from 2023 to 2024. His mission was to promote access to equal education for young girls from vulnerable communities, contribute to the eradication of gender-based violence, and empower over 100 rural women. The overall goal of the SWEDD project is to accelerate the demographic transition, to spur the demographic dividend, and to reduce gender inequality in the Sahel region.
Recognized as one of the impactful entrepreneurs by the team at the United Nations Convention to Combat Desertification, Christian has been selected to speak at the UNCCD COP16 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, and at 2025 ChangeNOW Summit in Paris, France, showcasing BIO PLANET TMC Ltd's work and collaborating with potential business partners to restore degraded farmlands, provide clean air and a healthy diet for over 10,000,000 people across West Africa by 2030, while creating over 2,100 green job opportunities for women and indigenous minority groups.
